[ASCENT] Character + New version

Since the new ascent server version was released i need to update the sql database, is there anyway to do that without the character's disappears?
If theres no way to keep the characters after update then there is no reason to host a server..

So i keep it simple, im using ascent 2500 or something (my friend is hosting) and we wanted to update to the latest , but to do that the character database must be wiped, is there anyway to keep the characters ?

I'm sure you can find a backup tool. Hm, when I think of it I think NCDB has a backup tool for your character DB...

if youre using navicat its very easy to backup just go to youre charachter database right click on it and press dump sql file
