Do you have a password installed in your MYSQL server? Did you use the correct password? Go to start, program files, MYSQL server, then server instance config wizard. Hope this helps!
i tried mysql but it sucks all it does is open a command prompt im using wamp5

Lol you gotta use mysql editing tools. You can't edit mysql just like that.. Get Navicat or SQLYog. Did you actually read all the instructions to Grandmst20's guide?
I did read all of his guide, before i saw his guild and decided to update i was using Wamp5(phpmyadmin) and SQLyog. I was trying to fix the root@localhost pw problem so I could host my sign up page/server stats but I hear people using mysql so I figured i try it out and I dont know where to go with it all I get is a command prompt yes my SQLyog can connect but now I dont mt signup page or server statis bc those 2 were using wamp5. If you could give me a rundown on how to use mysql that would be great.
MySQL = Database
SQLYog = Database Editor
I know that but its totally different then wamp5 so where would I put the status.xtml and the index.php files? Also where would I input new database users?
Wait wait wait, hold up, what are you trying to run thats giving you the error 1045? And is it the only program giving you that?
