good work dude you must be a wow god ^^
did'nt worked for me ... wanna post my ascent ? i use 2.0 stable
sinister~ when i change the 530 to 380 it s till doesnt work what shall i do?
still not working this is what it look likes
Quote:
if(m_mapId > 580)
{
for(uint32 i = 0; i < 3; ++i)
{
// Can't use flying auras in non-outlands.
if(aur->GetSpellProto()->EffectApplyAuraName[i] == 208 || aur->GetSpellProto()->EffectApplyAuraName[i] == 207)
{
delete aur;
return;
}
}
}
first, dont change anything but the "if(m_mapId > 580)". then recompile. compiles fine for me, latest stable Ascent.
Ascent requires more editing to be done for such a thing to work (there are a few more checks in various other files) I'd actually like to know how you managed to make this work doing nothing more then editing "Unit.cpp"
I got it working on my server with custom items to summon the mounts, while editing the unit.cpp needs to be done I don't get how editing nothing but that file would work?
never said it did, re-read my post. it is, where to start. you can use debug with the mount spell to allow it to mount, by only removing this aura. i'm not sure on making a full guide, since this is one of the nicer gimmicks (useless, but fun to have) features i'm adding to WoWXL. And a full explanatory guide would take a while to write.
And this will not work on your server by just moding an item. The mount spell needs modified as well, along with removing the auras and moding the item, to avoid other checks. If you have more spare time than I, feel free to make a guide =).
Yeah it's fun to have esp since not every fun server has figured it out yet, but soon their will be some kinda guide and everyone will have it.
the idea is to make it null. so > 580 would mean greater than any map id that exist. 530 being Outlands. I guess to be appropriate it should be > 530, i just put 580 to be safe. So, to be wise, use > 580, like i do ^^. That way you have no problems. Keep in mind, this is just to remove the aura flag (aka, letting you "fly" in Azeroth). To allow the item that triggers the mount spell, is a different story. I'll prolly release a guide after i test it more, i dont want to give out something that leads to more Ascent crashes. I've already found a couple annoying client errors, which can cause you to loose your character because of this. But, as mount restrictions get better settled with Ascent, these should be fixed.
I know i'm going to make a fool out of myself when i say this but hey lol... just wondering were the unit.cpp,
i have no file in my folder with that format unless i've miss-placed it, i'm using ncdb606 and my own repack,
let us know were i can find it and i can stop stressing ^^
what you are looking for is in your ascent source folder. the file is found in ascent/branches/2_0_stable/src/game/unit.cpp
Wow, i tried it but i think there was something wierd about source because of all the errors i got when i start the ascent.exe ... Could someone please post a working src or a compiled one? ^^
