That's Becourse you need to do a quest before he will attack u else he just sits with his skull and thinking " What a nice and majestetick skull " and to open the door do .go select and .go activate !

sorry but your friend is wrong the reason he just stands there is because if you watch a vid of the actual boss fight akama and him have a chat then he gets activated and i hate to burst your bubble but i don't think there is a illidan scripted in .lua yet i herd he is in c++ thou

Alright heres a guide for players who still don't understand!!
Pictures well be in text form to prevent loading lagg.

1: Find the door, i should have a floating text "Door Event"

2: Type in ".go select" Once it says you have selected the door, Type ".go activate"

3: As you can see, Illidan wont attack you, And well never if you don't have the correct coding, to fix this, lets type ".npc delete" to remove the bugged illidan and then ".npc spawn 22917"

4: Illidan should attack you now, He wont be attacking me because i have ".invisible" on
