[Ascent] [NCDB] - Updated, everything lost.

I updated my ncdb today, and I lost EVERYTHING custom that I made (monsters, portal locations, custom hyjal, etc). Also, everyone's accounts have been lost even though when I enter through SQLyog, I can somehow see them. However, logging in, they're just not there. Being cautious, I made a complete backup of my ascent folder. Now I have two folders:
One that is r4272 with updated NCDB and another one r2801 that has a completely out of date one.
I never figured out the character backup thing on the tool.bat >.>... Is it possible for me to actually recover the lost information? I have played another private server for nearly a year, and they never had any account wipes. Small rollbacks here and there, but that's it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
:s in the mean time im gona try to learn some new commands....

I think I sucessfully done the ascent character backup and restore from NCDB, and now, nothing works. I can't log onto anything. When I open SQLyog, I could see the accounts, but I just can't get in. Also, I cannot log on with a new account I made with my site signup, even though it used to work, and it shows my server online - so it detects the server >_>.. Any help would be appreciated

EDIT: Think I found what is going wrong, but I don't know what the fix could be.

Also, if this is fixed, I still have the issue with the fact my custom things are completely destroyed. As I have said, I have a complete backup of an older edition that has the custom stuff. Is there any way I could put it in? I believe some files were in differenet format, becuase when I tried r4272 without NCDB, I get error telling me creature_spawn something amount of rows were correct (not exactly sure, can't remember exact message, but general idea). Help would be appreaciated. Thanks in advance

no. ncdb "updates" some times run the "delete entry" syntax, that might/might not delete custom data...

For the losing custom DB part, I think I'm doing something wrong by hitting "w", but I don't really see any other option.

My tool.bat when I hit edit.

I only took the top part because the text below tells me not to modify any more.

The changesets update your server by deleting queries, but when you compile an entire NCDB revision, and apply it to your database, it will delete all previous tables, then create the new updated ones. Pretty much wiping all of the custom data you have worked on.

End point, you cant retrieve anything you havent saved. So other than your characters, that DB is gone. Also, its a good idea to export your custom entries before you add them in, so you know you have a backup of them

I still have a copy of the old DB on a CD. Could I somehow place that back into the updated DB? If so, could someone explain how? (please try to make it simple, I'm pretty new to this :S) Would it be exporting into CSV files and importing them into the new one? I noticed some changes in the ascent SQL file. The new DB is not the same as the old DB. Would this cause problems? Thanks
