[Ascent] Pet Trainer problem

I am having a problem with my pet trainers for hunter class. I have allready learned the rank 1 spell but When I try and learn rank 2 spells from the pet trainer NPCs it says that it requires the rank 1 spell. I have allready learned the rank 1 spells and still cannot get rank 2 spells.
