[Ascent] Problems with ascent.exe

I originally had the ascent running with the version from the sticky on this forum. I deleted it after i ran into problems. Now that i am trying to set up the latest versions my ascent.exe will not work. The logon server works but when i try to get ascent to work it says it has to close for an unknown reason. I can not even get the original one i used to work now. I am getting highly frustrated and am in serious need of assistance.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me. My problem was related to NCDB 832. Not sure if you are using that or not. If you are one thing you could check is see is if your database is set to world

edit it and find

set wdb=ncdb

change to

set wdb=world

that was my error and it fixed it. Hope this helps you. If not good luck.
