[Ascent] Requesting help, please take a look.

Hello, this is my first post, and I hate to show my noob side so early and ask for help but I am very stuck and I have a few people relying on me to figure this out.. But none the less I would like to say hi everyone! I have been looking around this website for awhile and I really enjoy what I see, I hope to become a good part of the community!

With all that said, here is my problem. Whenever I try to start my Ascent exe's, such as logon server, or world I get this error: "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect, reinstalling this application may solve this error" something along that line.

Also when I am supposed to enter my host information in System 32/drivers/hosts I enter the information and hit save but it won't let me save over the origional file, it wants me to create a new text document, is this a problem?

Now I have tried redownloading it, downloading different versions, updating all my files, reinstalling my SQL, I just can't figure it out, I have use the search function and found nothing aswell as in the FAQ, also I have checked, double checked, and triple checked the setup guide aswell as my codes and found no mistakes, so if anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it. =)

I am using Windows XP, Media Center edition, SP2, US English, with support for other languages.

instal .net framework 3.5 and the restart pc and will work. you find this on google from microsoft is recomadate.
