[ASCENT] wont even start

sorry im not 1 for asking newbie questions.. ive searched like hell for the answer to this.. but every time i goto launch logon or server i get this msg

the version im using is 3990 and 4031 with ncdb 1111 and 1114
done everything but just wont start :/

i have 2554 working fine but wonted to upgrade...

any help?

hm...
i had that problem too.
its to do with something on ur computer.
it cant read the .exe properly. older computers seem to have problems with the newer ascent releases.
try different repacks / the pure ascent. if none work, pm me and ill give u a link to the two files i use.

Other than that, i dont use windows anymore to host it. running it under debian totaly works : >

no, its not his conf files, otherwise the actual console would give an error. this is a windows error : >

you need to instal net framework 3.5 and then restart pc
