Base Spell Damage question

Ok, so I set up my Mangos server and everything seems to be running pretty nice. I spawned Onyxia a couple times and put some T5 gear on my mage and thought this was really sweet. One thing I did notice that I can't seem to figure out is why I have no base spell damage? All that gear I am wearing should be adding quite a punch behind what I cast. I also made a non gamemaster character and suited him up (pally) with the judgement set and he also had no spell damage. Any answer to this? I did a search and haven't found much on the subject.
