BIG problem with mangos

Ok guys Ive gotten my local server up now, but even when connecting LOCALLY!! i am still getting 9k ping. I also cant browse any internet sites while mangos is running because of this. Anything i should know that will make it run like wowemu does when hosted locally(0 ping or close to it)

NVM guys, figured out my problem. i replaced my outside IP with 127.0.0.1 in the database. However, i dont think people from the outside can connect now.. guess i will have to try,

Trying to get to play with me and my friend... when i put my outer IP in the databse, he connects fine and has ping in the low 50's... when i try to connect to the wow on same computer that i am hosting MANGOS it gives me pings upward of 15k and i cant do anything, even my internet like browsing pages/IRC is slowed to a screeching halt. is there any way to fix this or the only way is to play MANGOS wow from a diff. pc than where you host it?

I wouldnt reccommend playing from the computer you host on ,

1. Lags the server
2. The WoW Client lags the server

Basically you get the point I guess.. it lags the server =/

I know ..its just me and a friend though not really hosting for alot of people. Tried hosting on another PC but it was just the same thing.

you need to put 127.0.0.1 in your database and in your realmlist.wtf file you need to put your local ip 192.168.x.x and your friend needs to put your internet ip from WhatsMyIp.net | WheresMyIp.net in his realmlist.wtf file

Hi I got a problem with mangos wen i log in it gets stuck on "connecting" then dc's me?? Any sudgestions? thanx
