Re: Can not connect to server via internet
The network I am running this on has 3 machines. The machine antrix is on is a windows server 2003 machine. The router is a netcomm NB1300plus4 modem. I have had Antrix operational and connecting from a laptop but have decided to move it top a more perminant home to run over the internet.
When I try to connect on an external machine it tellsme "unable to connect"
I suppose one question is that even though I have opened the ports how do I test they are actually open.
The settings used are
public port start and end = 3742 private port = 3742 port type = tcp host ip = my static ip address given by my isp
public port start and end = 8129 private port = 8129 port type = tcp host ip = my static ip address given by my isp
hen I transfered antrix to my win2003 machine the only file I updated was the realm.conf file with my static IP address.
Azsnowman....I have read a lot from this forum...I can not see a fix that will work...that is why I am asking for help.

Re: Can not connect to server via internet
i too am having this issue. i've forwarded all my ports on both the router and any possible firewall i'm running. i still keep getting a "Cannot connect to server" i have also tried connecting to the database via SQLyog and i get the same cannot connect crap. could it be my ISP is filtering my ports? is the router being a bastard? or is my computer in dire need of a reformat? could it be the DLINK 604T is no good for my server needs.

Re: Can not connect to server via internet
nmap should help you scan your internet ip for open ports.
