Can't get into Ascent.exe

a microsoft error comes up and says Ascent.ex has encountered a problem and needs to close.

i have MySQL 5.0
Visual C++ express edition
and nivicat

Try and download a new revision.
Do a Clean install.
Make SURE you follow the guide here..

Run all the latest sql updates. Make sure you have sql and your configs setup correct.

well the guide pretty much tells you everything you need to know. You should try and see if you can get it working. Are you compiling Ascent yourself or downloading it already compiled?

it was compiled but that error came up so i re-compled it and nothing...
so i pruddy much im gonna quit in a sec way to cunfusing

Btw, for this actual post - Get new 2.3.0 Maps and DBC and run all the SQL Updates in Navicat.
