The linked screenshot provides proof that WoW developer Blizzard is actively scanning players' browsing history and cookies. Early speculation is that this is a countermeasure against cheaters, but players are arguing that Blizzard has no right to access this highly private data.

Hmm...you could also have read the license agreement; it mentiones that loader.exe will access you computer to check for malware...
It also mentiones no data is transmitted to blizz
So I knew this yes...so what's the problem??
some 1 is trying to sue blizzard for this and i think everyone knows

well, that's a known issue; of course, it would be better to know what exactly it does and what files it scans.
and about history&cookies - I think that's really bad way of judging who is hacking and who is not...
i thaught they used warden or does that do the same thing?
hey did you know loader.exe is a web browser using the ie api hmmmmm i wonder why its accessing it then! lol its ok all ie based programs use that =P
Everyone that's bitching about this has never read the license agreement, they just scroll down to the bottom, press accept and start playing, then they start whining about how unfair it is and how they don't agree.
hmm we should make a protection so blizz cant access our machines :P
What's the point? Bl1zz is just scanning you computer for known malware; it is NOT sending any results back.
So it only scans...why would anybody want to prevent that??
TheWarden scans files every 15 seconds looking for hacks. Obviously it will also scan browser history.
That's why I've blocked off blizzard and the ports from my router and computer. ;)

Simple...anyone who gives a slight dam* about what is going on in their computer when they play MMO's and what their legal rights are. :yeahright Personally I have read the whole thing. Now...personally I don't think really everyone needs to read it. But for the sake of my remaining BP meds...read the things before you come whining. :poster_he
