Events not running on Private Server

Not sure if Events is the correct term here, but after playing on Blizz for a while I know that certain quests or instances have scripted things running, such as:

Needing to have Majordomo summon Ragnaros... he is always just there already.

or Jail Break in BRD where you need to escort Windsor out... or any escort for that matter in or out of instances.

Is this normal for Private Servers, if not please point me in the right direction, ie Ascent Core, NCDB, etc...

I thought Mangos and Ascent was a "one or the other" kinda deal, didn't know you could do both, or are you saying escorts don't work in either?

Scripts for Ascent got "destroyed" when they realized they were causing crashes that only lead to more when they tried to fix it. We can only hope to have scripts in the future once again for boss fights and other things like that.

Mangos got some events working. Like Vaelstraz and Nefarian fight in BWL. The SSC event at Leotheras works as well.. (The splitting part). Some more, but I can't remember at the moment.

With Ascent I'm not so familiar unfortunately.

Yes, Loxx, MaNGOS does have some working scripts, a few more than Ascent for sure. Like I mentioned above, it was for an obvious reason of stability, rather than features.

I'm sure when they figure out how to crash fix them, they will bring back boss fights to suit how Blizzard handles them.

Excellent response time on questions, thx... so I won't delete my database and start over :)

Is there a list or some such link that shows the missing features in the Ascent install? Most things seem to function, but I will miss the escort quests.

Escort quests will come eventually, they are just not a priority at the moment.
