Okay the servers are running perfectly, but GM commands dont, i've tried a few of them and i get the same message about the command not existing over and over.
I've tried adding items through the database handler but i end up with an error message, and no item.
What am i missing?
hmm nice guide works evrything fine .. just i get a damn error whit the MDH .. it says still after over 6 times configure that its wrong and needed be configured :( well it works whitout it anyway just anyoing whats wrong
i have in all ips my external ip and all ports are open only that damn MDH dont accept that .. and yes is updated to newest rev :( so whats wrong?

For everyone with problems with the MaNGOS DB Handler, the newest version requires a later version of mangos then is in my guide, just upgrade your mangos to a newer version and everything should be ok. If it is not then go to the mangos DB handler post and ask the creator about the problem I did not make the program so i cant help you much about it.
I was just wondering if you could give a little detail on the GM commands. Like where to get the itemsetid from and stuff like that. Great job BTW. I had problems getting started at first, but after reading your replies here, I got everything working. you are a very patient man!:sweatdrop
also, I am unable to enter any portals. Got any suggestions?
Found the id's for the items and stuff. Duh, look in the database. lol
im having trouble with the mangosd.exe ive already played on my server tho, but it keeps coming up and then closing (crashing)..
haha yea i try to be, you can find the itemset numbers in the mangod DB handler, im not sure where else to look as i have not really messed with mangos much recently (its just a hobby of mine to get emulators to work) and the GM commands are somewhere around here just do a search.Quote:

Yes - the mangos_si.rar should be mangos_site.rar. It is just the set of files needed if you want to have your own website associated with your server (and therefore allow accounts to be created via the website).Quote:

i posted this problem under another topic but I think this forum might be more appropriate, I read the 11 pages in this post but haven't been able to resolve my problem.
I'm trying to get my mangos server on the internet so my friends can connect. I do not have a router. The server works perfectly when i connect to it from my computer. My .conf files are set to 127.0.0.1 and my realmlist.wtf is set to my ip as is my realmd.realmlist in navicat/sql.
I'm at a university, is it possible that they are blocking the connection. Is there a way to test this, is there a way around this if this is their a free way around it. ( I get the impression that no-ip might be my answer but this costs money) I read the statement about port 80 being blocked on page 5 or 6.
Help greatly appreciated.

After searching through these forums and others i conclude that this must be some kind of university firewall. Is there a way to test this.
^ Same problem as the guy above me (read all 11 pages also), except Im at my house. My realmlist in navicat are set to my ip. My own realmlist.wtf is set to localhost, and my .conf files crashes when I use my Ip that I obtained from whatismyip.org. It does not crash when I use my lan ip. To summarize everything, my friends can't play :(
update: I haven't figured out how to test if my ports are being blocked, however i set up a no-ip as i realized its free. I'm going to do a process of elimination but if someone knows which host type should be checked that would be beneficial to others viewing. Also my realmd.realmlist remains my ip or do i chnage it to the no-ip address
I tried all options of forwarding given under the free version of no-ip I have also tested with the realmd.realmlist as my ip or as the no-ip address, still doesn't work just disconnects

Get this when I open the website....
Error: Unable to connect to MySQL server. MySQL reported: Access denied for user 'mangos'@'localhost' (using password: YES).
I have followed all instructions so there I think I havent missed out BUT something I do miss something WHAT HELP please.
(have filled in the db and all other stuff).

everything i am running is working (navicat, MDH, mangosd.exe, realmd.exe)
the only problem is that WoW keeps giving the message about dissconnected from server, and i cannot get the webpage running (the xampp webpage comes up instead) i have tried changing all of the ip addresses in ALL of the programs to my ip address (192.168.2.102) or, to the LAN ip (127.0.0.1) still nothing. i am using wireless internet and my ip address can change, but only if i shut down my computer and someone goes onto the network before i do. i am very confused and would appreciate some assistance.
one more thing: what is the full version of WoW that were using (im thinking that this guide was made before the recent minor update)
also to a person who got it to work, could you provide a list of their IP addreses, with their corrasponding file or program.
your problem is that you might have a proxy on, for instance, when i go to cymip.com or whatismyip.org it tells me that my IP is 24.79.147.241, when it is really 192.168.2.102. to figure out your real IP go to run in the start menu, then type in CMD, then type in ipconfig. hope this helped :shrug:Quote:
