[GUIDE] How to Update TerraNet DB rev3 to rev4 - GUIDE FOR DUMMIES (LOT OF IMAGES)

thanks a lot ,this post is help me a lot of how to deal with database.

i have 1 problem...
I connect in my server..when i try to create 1 character..the char not apear

try to create chars with others, not be drainei and boodelf. if u still see that err, u make something wrong *-)

cuz, this release fully working on my server :=)

some antrix servers has a line in conf files wich says "AllowExpansionRaces = 0"
or something similar.
Look for it, if you find it just put 1 instead of 0.

Let me know.

two questions

1: the antrix work with SQLyog 6.03 i dont find th 6.02 :(

2: the database name in the logon realm and antrix config is terranet 3 or antrix ??????????

ok i have a BIG problem..... whenever i try to start my antrix it comes up with an error and it says that it cant connect to localhost.... and idk how to get the terranet rev4 RTU... thats my problem and thats why i cant start antrix... i think... SOMEONE HELP ME!

Ok this has helped me alot, i made the updated DB, but how do i transfer it on to another computer, i was in the middle of installing XP pro on my to-be-server :P

And another thing, is there a way to set the XP rate, max lvl, stuff like that.

Another thing is i was wondering is there a place where i can get the GM commands?

1) it works also with other versions, so don't worry that much xD
2) It depends on what name you used to create your database. In this guide i've used terranet3 so mine would be terranet3, if you used antrix, your would be antrix.

First, make a backup or sql dump and restore it to your new machine.
Second, Antrix.conf has both rates and max lvl settings, but max lvl over 70 isn't supported yet so it's useless to change it.

So i use that rev5 instead of the terranet4 one?
When I downloaded it I couldn't open it in AQLyog

True, the extension is missing.
Just rename it to whatever you want.sql and it will works without problems.

Well, its not crashing at least.
Now my antrix says

'Process priority adjusted to high'

and my logonserver says

'Registering realm 'test realm' under ID 1'

is this right?



[EDIT] yup thats right, its working-ish.

When I log into my server to create a char, it says to pick a realm, then logging into game server, then says pick a realm. It keeps on looping like this.

Uhm, damn loops...
I should make an ENTIRE book about antrix servers... but just don't have the time.

I saw your screen, but honestly i don't know what to tell you.
It seems like the sql server has been closed or so... the error message isn't so specific :\

hey Attila, Thanks for the info, do you know if/when they will make the stats go above 70? or anyways if i could do it my self? i am willing to learn! my job will envolve the computer world! btw, where u learn all the stuff about the WoW database? (my friend and i wanna 2-man Illadan) :P

First, i don't know when they will implement level70+.
Antrix is made by blizz-like lovers, so i think NEVER. Anyway some other compilers may help you about this.
Second, i don't know that much as it could appear ;]
Anyone can read the database, with a bit of brain evrything has a sense.
Anyway, illidan is not strong as in retail atm. He's not a boss, just lvl 74 elite. Nothing special.

About italian, i don't think i would be a good teacher... i hate grammar... i write correctly bust still hate it.... >_>

Well thats fix...got a new sql all together (1 that is already put together :P)
So yeah :) Ive got some problems (again -.-") but its 4:30AM so I'll post em tomorra :P

Damn this is anoying, i had the server ALL READY TO GO, then when i get to the part where i open Logonserver.exe and Antrix.exe. When i try to open either of them, i get "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click OK to terminate the application"

I know the file is not corrupt, opens on other computers and downloaded a few more as well.

i know this isnt exactly your problem, it's my PC's, but i was wondering if you guys had any idea of what i can do. Thanks alot.

i have mysql and he works but i put the dadabase and i cant creat account i dont have this subject to creat acc...

Alright, when i start to play it assined me to my realm and all, but when it gets to the place where i would usualy select my character, its stuck at "connecting to game server" then it goes into a realm loop... Any Help by YOU? PS: nice guide i fixed many errors one by one but i still cant get this connecting one ><
