[Guide] Kobold MP SetUp *Updated*

Now a little question...!
for which wow is it... burning crusade or normal..?

I don't know how to connect with version 1.12.2 is it the right version or wrong... or can I only use burning crusade client to connect to an kobold server...

if it's for standard wow edition... please tell me how to connect with 1.12.2, becouse I don't want to repatch my wow... becouse if I repatch it... I can't play online with my blizzard chars...

everybody wrotes about Kobold... but nobody about the version you need... so really!

I need your assistance exactly the same as many different in this forum which are active!

Ok, it works great for LAN :kisss: , but it doesn't for the Internet one.

Noone can connect to my Internet one; even to the account creation page.

What do i have to do to make it work? :juggle:

Be sure that you have opened the ports on the router. If you have done that then be sure that you dont have a software firewall on your pc or that you ahve permitted all applications. But you didn't tell me where the problem is. Are they looping back in the realm list or they cant even "see" you?

Hi...i'm new in this forum, and i don't know the engine of WoW very well...so i'm goin g to ask you for help:
I downloaded Kobold, i have set everything, i ran WS Active, LS Active and RS Active, everything goes ok,
(i read that this emu is for 1.12.x version of WoW, and i have 1.12.0) these progs read mysql database, i think i can play...i turn on WoW, login (i created my acc before running emu) ...status shows, that "connected, (i think) validiating (checking version )" and it blows that there is version mismatch...what i have to do?? ...please help me

It needs 1.12.1 patch, its only 3.5 MB dl it and try again.

Hi...it's again me...i have a small problem (again...fyck xD )...i set everything up, it works...i try to login, and it tells me that login or pass is incorrect...so i thought that there may be err in MySQL...i went to "accounts" section and there is only admin pass admin... it seems OK, but it still doesn't connect...i did new acc, normal, gm like admin - 3 ...and it doesn't work...what can it be?? i thought it may be in LS executable and links of it...and i checked realm status on the [url=http://localhost/]cPanel

this is the message i can find for me, when i try to connect to the server it goes trhough all steppes and just when i am about to see the realmlist it says "dissconnected from server" i tried to fiddle with the mysql realmlist and world list as you suggested but it dont seem to work, any suggestions?

Hmmm...i think it depends on the ports...i don't understand them, thought...my MySQL is running on port 3306, default...its ok, everything loads seems to be cool, but log serv dont work...but realm serv works, so i think i can set everything in ls like in rs...and fyck...i discovered that rs is default on 3725 port, and the serv status shows it works...so i changed port of ls , and it doesnt work... and about what u have got after launching ls alive, i have got sth like thiz:
blablabla
Connected to mysql database on localhost
realmlist: added realm [kobold] mine ip
realmlist: loaded [1] realms
(after change to 3725 port in ls config ) TCP port 3725 listener started

and thats all...it seems to be good, but it doesnt work...either on 3725 or 3306...i don't know what is it...everything other was set to 3306 , i changed (but without mysql confs) to 3725...it doesnt work...hmmm...


...lol...first, before you run ls alive.bat, run WS and RS...WS ALWAYS must be first (it's WORLD SERVER) , after it RS (REALM SERVER) and at last (but not least) LS (LOGIN SERV)...i think that is what it is with your errors...

i still cant log on, now i can see the realmlist but it either says offline or it simply wont open... i followed that order everytime except i didnt start RS before LS last time.

hmmm...i deleted all post in order to not spam...i patched wow, and my realmlist in wow changed...sorry very much for problems and spam... and thanks for help...

Guys follow my guide in page 2 of this forum and you will get rid of your problems.

I tried to add you to MSN, but apparently MSN Live is having issues and not sending out invites. Anyway, I think I know my issue and why none of these fixes are working...

As said, I am not the server owner, just one of the helpers, and apparently, the owner has a dual router set-up, a main router, then a nother router after that, which the server is connected to. Would this possibly cause the issues with connecting from the RS to the WS, as I told you in PMs?

it seems that my WS and RS have problems communicating, i can see the realm list and click on the realm but it wont let me connect leaving a messege "connecting to game server"
