[Guide] Kobold MP SetUp *Updated*

Oh fyck....i know what it is...i don't know why but i know what...xD...i turn everything on, it's ok...login as admin...and i minimalized wow...and what?? my ws alive showed me that "exiting due to error in main thread"...i don't know why...i want to play alone , sth like single player :P...and i can't !! ...somebody help me!! ...

PS. if it affects sth, i changed my xp rate to 4, and max lvl to 987654 xD...lol...

PS2.my comp is : Celeron D 2.8 ghz (only 256 cache l2, but i will change it to Core 2 Duo e6400 maybe xD ), 512 ddr2 ram (533 mhz ) , graphics is GeForce 6610 XL 128 ddr2 ram... (not very good, but i will also change it XD )...i think that for single play this comp i good enough...

i am starting to think i acctually broke my server when i tried to make it lan, i cant connect to my server its just stopps at "loggin on gameserver" can ne1 link a screenshot of how the world_list and realm_list should look like in the sql?

Hmmm...check everything again...remember to paste the same ip to every config (without sql.conf configs ) , and the ports: ws - 3306, rs - 3724 (i think) and ls - 3725...if the serv after changes doesn't work, i don't know what could that be...

do i need to open ports even though i am only gonna play lan?

yes...3724,3725, 4200 (i opened 3306 too)

Hmmm...i changed my xp rate and max lvl to default (no, max lvl to 255) ...and it still doesn't work...i deleted tcp forwarding for port 3306...myabe it is it?? ...please somebody heeelp mee...

still got the same error even after opening the required ports, i have no idea what might be wrong :(

The error with the main thread is very general. Please post again your problem with details including ip configurations and we will see.

Perhaps a seemingly obvious and totaly noob question but:

Does anything have to be placed into the Application Names section when opening up ports, or can you leave that blank and just add the internal IP ?


Also, should the realmlist look something like this?

Obviously you are talking about the Router Nat Section. The application name is just to make you remember what its port does if you want to get back there and check in the future. It's not important.

Cool beans, I have always wondered about that when forwarding ports before. Now I know.

Ok...I have go sth like this:
WS config:
WorldServerListenIp = 192.168.16.**
WorldServerPort = 3306
RS config:

LoginServerListenIp = 192.168.16.**
LoginServerPort = 3724
DefaultRealmName = Kobold Test Realm

DefaultRealmPort = 3725
DefaultRealmType = "Normal"

And in MySQL :
realm_list:
id 1
name Kobold
adress 192.168.16.**

And in worldserver_list:

ip 192.168.16.**
port 3306
map id 0

MySQL is on port 3306 , i forwarded every port on udp and tcp: 3306, 3724,3725,4200...
and i have got sth like this: i run emu (start.bat, WS, RS and LS) , check stat on cPanel (localhost/a) , it shows rs and ls is online, so i turn on wow (realmlist only 192.168.16.**, without ports) , try to login, everything ok, and it shows "connected to server" and after about 30 - 40 secs, it shows "dc from server"...so i check LS, ok...RS ok...but WS tells sth like this:
"Exiting due to error in main thread" or sth like that...and WS restarts...i don't knw what could that be, it should work perfectly...it sems (for me) that emu is working, but it crashes when i turn wow on...like mismatch in some files, but wow don't show anything...please help me :) ;P

PS. i have got 1.12.1 enus version...

Im having an odd issue, I set it up EXACTLY how it was said, with 2 realms, and for some reason both computers in my network can only log into the internet one. When i try to log into the LAN one it just says logging in and brings me back to the realmlist. Now, this isnt a major issue as i can get on, but i would like to know if these means people cant get on my server?

naah... i forgot sth : i want to play alone, so im trying to run this serv on lan...if it makes difference, i can try to set up on internet...but i rather want to have LAN serv...

pleeease heeeelp...i dont know what to do ...
