help a brother out

i got my own server but its only single, i tryed doin wat this site told me to do to make it so my friends could join but it made it so i couldnt connect to my own server.
i changed my ws_host in my server folder to my outside ip and changed my realmlist to my internal ip. How do i make it multiplayer?? been botherin me for sooo long...

Configuring your WoW Emu
Go to http://www.whatismyip.com to obtain your outside IP Address

Open Notepad, or some other text editing program and in your main WoW server directory, open wowemu.key (with the text editor) and change IP Address after "ws_host=" to your outside IP Address you just found from http://www.whatismyip.com

That is what other people will put in there realmlist.wtf "set realmlist IPADDRESS"

Now in your realmlist.wtf, you need to put your internal IP Address (192.168.1.103 for example), so your realmlist.wtf would look like "set realmlist INTERNALIPADDRESS"

That should alleviate any realmlist loop problems, and props go to Mesmer for figuring this part out

-Did you open the ports on your router (if you have one)
-Did you disable your firewall(s) (if you have one)
-Do your friends have the right realm (the ip from http://www.whatismyip.com/)
-If your using No-Ip either turn it off or change everyone's settings to it
-Make sure they're using the 1.9.0 "hack" as named on wowstatus by me^^ lol

opening the ports is one of the most important things besides having the emu and running it... if you have a router than yes your going to need to open the ports, unless you opened them previously for something else. I had the same problem, took me a while to figure out I hadn't opened my ports and I felt kinda stupid lol

Srry you posted while I was posting... hehe, yah that looks about right as long as your Lan Ip is the one that ends with a "2" then you should be good

Err yah I have no idea what hamachi is.
The ole' fashion way is good enough for me.

Steps to Port Forwarding
***note: this is how mine works***
1. Find your router's ip

2. It should ask for a password(default is either password or 0000) and username (usually administrator), enter those

3. Once in you'll need to find something like "Applications and Gaming" (what's called on mine) or something like that.

4. Put the name of what is being forwarding in the empty box

5. Enter the port your forwarding from and the port it's forwarding to (if you havn't change it in the configs, it will be the same for both)

6. Then enter your Lan Ip into the box to the ip box (mine just asks for the last 3 digits, should look something like this 192.168.1.###)

Tuhh Duhh do that for all the ports and your done. If you want a better guide search for it lol cuz mine kinda sux^^

after i did dat i tryed loggin in it keeps sayin " Logging in to game server " then shows realm selection and i press okay then the " logging in to game server " pops up again then realm selection thing and keeps doin..
wat i do now??

You should just have to wait... it did the samething to me too. just let it sit for a while, all I can tell you to do lol

how'd this turn out, i'm getting the same problem but with someone connecting to me not connecting to myself
