[Help] How do you copy 2.2.3 chars into 2.3?

Hey all

Wondering if anyone knows how to do this?

i have a fully working 2.2.3 server and a 2.3.0 server

however when i copy the chars from 2.2.3 onto the 2.3.0 server it crashes my ascent as soon as i try to load up one of my chars
i did notice that ascent ver 2.3 stable accounts differs from ascent ver 2355

ANY help would be greatly appreciated

The structure has not changed in the databases for the `characters` table.

yeah i dunno what it is but i just simply cannot get my old accounts/chars successfully working on the new builds

had to abandom them (big :sweatdrop ) and start again

oh well no biggie really :)

i had same problem..here is what i did.
1. I created clean(no data) accounts and characters databases
2. Update the structure of the database tables using all the needed sql updates.
3. Export your existing databases, information only, not structure.
4. Import the exported file into the clean databases
5. Export the newly created databases(structure and all)
6. Truncate (delete all tables) of old database
7. Import the newly exported databases.

Lots of steps, but it works

couldn't get it to work

ill just stick with the new chars
doesn't take long to get em back the way they were :D
