[HELP] Logonserver crash

Hi there,

Being running ascent for ages with no real problems but yesterday after upgrading to a custom DB and Rev 3004 everything was fine untill the the logon server crashed and started continual restarts( I have an auto restarter running).

Stopped the auto restart and tried a manual launch of the logonserver...same problem, crashes almost instantly. Its to fast to catch any kind of error so I thought I would role back to my previous REv of ascent and old DB ( 2575 and 700).

To my surprise the logonserver at this release crashes the same way??

Now these are diff installs and diff SQL DB's , I have restarted the server and all associated apps and its still happening.

Wondering if anyone has seen this before and if so what the problem turned out to be.

I think it may have something to do with your logon database. I would first try compiling the newest rev of Ascent and download the latest rev of NCDB. Then backup your character and logon tables and then import the character and logon sql files from the ascent.

Hmm yea I thought that myself so swapped to my backup character Db and a fresh compile of ascent and a new World DB..still doing it ...not really sure why unless my backup is screwed aswell .........

Doing me nut in it is :)
Will try a brand new Empty character DB and see what happens...cheers for the help

I had problems with my logonserver crashing almost instantly. It turns out the I didn't have my DBC files in my server directory. Hope that helps.

im having that same problem now and i have no idea how to fix it.
