Help, me with my server nett/lan/wowemu problems. WITH Paypal money reward

Ok as you see i have a router, and everytime i type my LAN ip that i can only connect like 192.168.1.100, then i only can connect but not my friend,s so if i type in the DND ip there..i can't connect(lan) but only outside..my friends only can connect please, that's all in my wowemu and i will press up a big reward in paypal cash for this.

Hi Baxi60,

Leave your server set up so your friends can access it via the internet, and make sure you are using a domain name (no-ip, dyndns, etc.) in the "ws_host=DND IPED-" line.

Next, open your hosts file (Windows\System32\drivers\etc) and add a line like:

192.168.1.100 server.no-ip.com

Note: Replace "192.168.1.100" with the LAN IP of your server, and "server.no-ip.com" with your internet domain name (which you should also be using in the "ws_host=" line.

The idea is to use one domain name to point your PC to a server IP that it can connect to (192.168.1.100 on your LAN), while allowing the rest of the world to reach your server at it's WAN IP using the same name.

The whole 'trick' is in the resolution of domain names... folks on the internet will have the name resolved by DNS (giving your server WAN IP), while you will resolve the name using the hosts file on your PC (giving your server WAN IP).

I would also suggest you look for a firmware update from your router/modem manufacturer (you have a loopback issue).
