[HELP] Vmaps

I'm trying to use Ascent rev 3439 with NCDB 1005.

When I try to make the vmaps (or extract them, rather), it goes on for about an hour, working on random whatnots, then my computer crashes.

I tried to assemble them anyway, and no cigar. I can start ascent, but will it work anyway? Or what am I doing wrong?

if your computer crashes on something like this i would say...
reinstall windows and try again. same error again? maybe a defect somewhere in your hardware? because this is the first time i hear that :P

It's windows server 2003x64, almost fresh install, 8GB ram, intel duo quad core processor

can be the problem that you run a x64 version of windows

It can't be that hard i suppose, if your computer crashes because of extracting the vmaps; don't you extract them yourself, ask a friend to extract them, or search the forum.
