How can I know what mango version supported client version

How can i know what client version that mango will supported ?

Now I'm using MaNGOS_rev3097_MangoScript_RELEASE.,

And my friend are using MacOS that can't find patch for 1.12 to 1.12.1 then
Can I give my friend update to 2.x , but i'm not sure my server supported or not , How can I check it
