How to connect to your server! (Noob Friendly)

Alright, I saw alot of questions in the past saying like, Other people can connect, but I can't!

(I've done it once or twice)

Well, here is the answer:


There is two ways on doing this, I choose the editing host file (it looks better)!

So, here is how you edit the host file!

I use NO-IP, so if any of you don't use a DNS server, replace the DNS IP into your external IP. You can find your external IP at

 http://www.whatismyip.com

So, As an example, I'm going to use mywowprivateserver.servegame.com

First step, you want to open Start


Now, open the Run button!


Now type in [IMG]file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/Tyler/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot.jpg[/IMG][IMG]file:///C:/DOCUME%7E1/Tyler/LOCALS%7E1/Temp/moz-screenshot-1.jpg[/IMG]%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts


Now you need to open that with notepad!


FINALLY! Now add this to the bottom of it!


Now, SAVE IT!




You are done with this type of connection!
Now the other one!










Now, the other way! (The one that doesn't look to good)

Open up your realm.conf in your server folder!


Now find RealmCount = 1
Change that 1 into a 2, just like this:


Now goto the very bottom of the conf and add
<Realm2 Name = "My WoW Private Server LAN/PC"
Address = "127.0.0.1:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

Just like this:




Now save it!
