I can connect but others can not

Ok done my homework using Ascent but still can't seem to nail down the problem.

I have server up and running good. I can connect to it via it's local ip address but not via the dyndns.com way. This also leads to people outside my network not being able to connect. I have the realms.conf file setup with the dyndns.com domain name they gave me, I have my host file setup exactly as the instructions say, i finally change the router to forward ALL ports to that box, but still can not connect via my dynamic dns (or my dynamic IP number).


I have my buddies ping my ip and they get request timed out.....

I have setup, in the pas,t several unreal tournament servers with no problems, a freelance server, and a web server. I don't have any of these setup any more so I can't test with them.

The only that has changed since I had those servers running great is I have a new router.

The not being able to ping my ip seems like a router issue. Anyone see/think of something i have not?

well was advised to forward my ports in the windows firewall.... I just turned it off and things seem to work.... Now how do i forward a range of ports in windows firewall :P

I'm guessing its because you forwarded ALL of your ports =_=
