I'm here to tell you guys some good news. Since Ive left Ive seen a lot of hate being generated in this community for a lost cause. People backstabbing each other this community has been lost for a VERY long time. Blizzard has pigeonholed us into this horrible community that has generated enemies within it due to the fear of lawyers etc.
We the community have forgotten why we were here for in the first place.People doing stuff in secret because no one else can be trusted. I personally joined the emulation community to have fun and be able to learn something but it totally changed over years, the goals were completely different. For some reason this has become a competition on whose the best and bashing each other up to a point of getting rid of them for their own ego. I'm not proud of what Ive done in the past either, Ive done things that I wish wouldn't have.
Another thing that has come to my attention is the need for making profiting off peoples work its totally destroyed many developers motivation to continue. Just put yourself in that position, spending countless hours and hard work while another person profits from your work("hey why am I not getting paid for my work and someone else is").
Fortunately, theres a solution to every problem
. Antrix Project is reforming and also creating a unique community with new priorities,goals and better ethics which will be renamed to Team Ascent. In this community everyone is welcomed to join. Team Ascent strives to provide the best emulator available and help people to gain knowledge through our wiki and willing to help any programmers with their questions. Lets all unite and contribute to this wonderful cause, we ask all major community hosts to cooperate also. We will also have a "donation" button this time for people to feel free to donate money to the team.
Team Ascent will also be hosting an official project server which will have the latest build which will be tested for a week before its committed to the public SVN. The only difference of the public and private SVN will be a week worth of tested code, we will not hide any features or from the public. Team Ascent is proud to announce this and we hope for an awesome community.
