kobold level question

Alright, just got the server on. Also found out the max level is 60 (after typing in .mod level 255..)

Is there anyway to increase this? thanks.

Well in MaNGOS you can change this in the mangosd.conf file, so maybe there is a file similar to that with Kobold? I know little about kobold so I hope i was somewhat helpful.

You can change it via the database under the Characters table. There is a column called 'Level' and you can change that to 255. One of the things I've noticed doing so is that you have 0 talent points. Of course I did it from level 1 to 255, but I'm guessing if you went .modify level 60 first before doing it, it'd still retain those talents. :)

Open that with Notepad++ (Or somethings other) And scroll down till you see somethings like

# XP MODULE
XP_MAXPLAYERLVL = 60

Change that too

# ####################################################################################
# XP MODULE
XP_MAXPLAYERLVL = 255

And I think you can be level 255.

It responce to what I said before, just checked it out (I actually never 'tested' the server after doing this.) and it didnt work. -_-

Not really sure why. The XP bar stays at lvl 60 but you gain no exp and whatnot. The .mod level command also considers 255 an invalid number. More help would be great.

currently the only way that i know of is to modify the level with in the database not in the game then you can just type in 255 and it will work.

I tried that with Kobold V2 and it didn't make a difference, I even ran the cleanpy afterwards and no deal.

lvl 60 is hard coded into teh server files/core. me and a friend found that out after spending a week messing with it. u cant change it above 60. what we did tho. was instead of 255 max lvl we did x5 stats per lvl
