I downloaded all the appropriate things (I believe). I tried antrix for about 10 straight hours yesterday and eventually gave up.
I found this thread by chance and noticed that ascent is basically the same thing(?) or possibly just a rename of the project or something? I dunno~ regardless, it works similar, so I did a similar installation/setup process that I did for antrix. And all seemed to work well, as my logonserver.exe works like a charm. However, I open up ascent.exe and I get "Access Violation at 0x07something" and it closes. There's a huge list of things it's loading before finally getting there, so I'm not entirely sure where it's hanging up.
I know I'm a bit vague, but there's just so much info to go around, I don't want to clog up the post with stuff we may not need posted.
If anyone has any idea what this sounds like, let me know. If you require more information, I'll post whatever I can. Thanks in advance.
Update your Database, make sure all your quarrys are placed
Not even sure that the latter part of your post means. "Quarry"?
As for my DB, it's up to date, as far as I know. I got the one listed in the sticky.
EDIT: Contact me via msn or aim (hazardous@hazardouscabinet.net / elucas3000) if you can/want to. Real-time discussion is so much more helpful for this kind of stuff.

ascent lately is a right mess,whats going on?
SVN is purley test/dev now. Its very unstable and most of the time doesnt even work. Dont use it on a live/production server.
Use 1_7 stable branch from svn.

i used a chrispee repack for ages worked graet but the databases and tables all got chnaged so chrispees doesnt work to good now.

My database use to be wicked stable but then my players items started to disapear everyother crash so i had to go to NCDB but i find out that its bugged as hell.
im having problems...im using rev 8 and latest core but it keeps giving me undetermined block: ascent.conf
