Linux help?

Greetings
Me and my friends were planning a lan party this cristmass and i thought it might be a good idea to setup a small wow server for fun... I saw the really nice server setup guides you have here, but since my pc runs linux were i already have a mysql server running perfectly, i would prefer to set this up on this pc...^^ than going through the whole prosedure from scratch, so i was wondering is there a way to run any of the servers there (even through wine or such..)...

Yes there is a way to run a server in linux. There is a Mangos compiled for linux I tried to use the win32 binary with wine but because I run mysql and php for the web server the wine and mangos platinum didnt ork for me.
I did how ever get the linux version compiled and running there is a real good guide for the linux install...

The only thing you will have to do is open the ports on the router to allow the LAN to communicate with the server.

I think the main one that I skipped was 3724 - 3800 entire range.

I couldnt get the game to open connected but wouldnt allow game to open installed mangos platinum on winders box and seen that it connected from a variance of ports from 3724 up to 3800
