Mangos 2.0.12 issues

I used Triplex's repack of Mangos 2.0.12 to get a server working, and it worked great.

However, I cannot for the life of me get the server to become public (well, not really public. LAN public. I don't have the internet at home, I just want people to be able to come over and PLAY! ^_^).

Afaik, all you have to do to make the server public is edit the mangos and realmd configuration files in the Mangos folder to have my IP address instead of 127.0.0.1, then edit the IP section in realmlist in the SQL to do the same. Then, restart the server, and it should work, right? WRONG! It won't even start realmd after that. -.-

Someone, PLEASE help me. I had been trying to get a private WoW server going for quite some time before this, and now I'm really excited (I'd never even PLAYED WoW before this...) but I want some of my friends to be able to join me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Everyone told me you needed to open your database, go to your realm table and change the realm IP to your external/LAN/Hamachi IP. Didn't work for me, though.

I'll give that a shot.

Also, I've been having a few weird bug problems here and there, nothing too major, until yesterday when I tried to send a few items to a different character of mine via the mail system, and a few of them just disappeared, and a few of them got sent to a DIFFERENT character than intended. That's lame. I was hoping to be able to send my characters items without issues, any way to solve that?

The other issues are really not that big of a deal, but I'd like to know how to solve those too, if possible. Whenever I log onto my Level 18 Human Pally, it says that I've learned skills or profession upgrades that I already did the last time I was in (it constantly tells me that I'm now a Journeyman Tailor. I'm almost at EXPERT! =P). And, everytime I change areas (from Elwynn Forest, to Stormwind, for example) the chat channels change and display a message that they're doing so, in GERMAN!

Any help on these issues would be greatly, greatly appreciated. ^_^

Well, I tried leaving the IP settings alone in the realmd and mangos config files, but changing the IP in the SQL server. It lets me start the server correctly, but then I can't connect to it. And yes, I changed the IP in my realmlist file as well.

Can anyone help me get my server able to have other people connect? -.-

Also, I'm using version 2.0.12. I noticed that 2.1 is becoming popular, how easy/hard would it be to upgrade my server?

at msngosd and realmd u need to change to 127.0.0.1 and at sql realmd u need to put the hoster IP i rec u use no-ip cause its too boring allways opening mysql and changing your ip
