[MANGOS] Fall Damage
Im having problems with MANGOS fall damage. It seems that when you fall just a short distance, you gain massive damage. I know that this cannot be the right fall damage due to that i play WoW on blizzard servers. Also, sometimes when you jump you start to float. Does anyone know how to fix the falldamage? If not, does anyone know how to turn off fall damge? Thx
PS: I'm running the most current version of MANGOS running at 1.12.1

Let me guess, you did a .modify and set your hitpoints to a 1000000? Either that or you did a .modify speed 50?
When your speed is too high you'll fly through the air after going over a tiny bump, causing fall damage. Fall damage is percentage based, so if you have 100 health and you fall you'll take 50% of it, or 50 health. If you have 1000000 health you'll take 50% of it, or 500000 damage.
Fall damage seems to be emulated correctly, for instance I take correct 15% damage from the jump off of Thorium Point griffin point to the land below.

Users on my server have the same issue, especially Rogues with Safe Fall. They had normal damage before that skill, but once attained, they took about 10x the damage.

Yea, its strange. At some moments my fall damage seems to be normal and at other times i could be riding an epic mount or just running on foot and jump 2 feet down and loose 350 hp. StRaNgE

All falling damage shouldn't be percent based, only in certain areas of retail WoW do you take percent based fall damage (i.e. instances). Some falls should be multiplication based, which is instead a formula of how high you are jumping from (lets call this "x") times a base amount of damage (lets say its 5 and call it "d").
So if x = 50
And if d = 5
Then the calculation (50•5) equals 250 and you take 250 damage when you fall from a 50 unit drop.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure this is how certain falls work (if I am wrong I'm willing to bet I'm not far off.)
