Try searching the forums next time, this question has already been answered by me and a few other people. Find a link on the top of the page for Mangos_Additionals. Inside that file you will find a DBC extractor, unrar it, then run it. If you have version 1.12.1 of WoW installed on your machine it will extract the DBC's from your current playing files and put them in a folder for you. All you have to do after is copy the DBC files from that directory into C:\mangos\data\dbc (by default of course).

Well... I apologize. I search around for a dbc extractor and didn't find anything helpful..... MY BAD
Oh and yeah.... I still can't find a Mangos_Additionals link... but thanks for being so helpful. The people here are so friendly. At least I didn't post in the "no support or questions" thread. >.<

you have to understand that this forum is flooded heavily with stuff that is usually in the stickies or answered in a post on the next page.... just have to spend a lil reading... and a lot of experimenting.. ive fixed like 6 problems ive had on my own.
Ok, I appreciate that comment but here is the problem. I am using version 1.12.1 and already have the dbc file for that version in my mangos folder... all of a sudden when i run the newest version it says i have the wrong version of the dbc files.... ok... so obviously id my dbc files came from my installation and they don't work and his dbc files came from his installation and they do work... shouldn't I use his files? or what? I can't find the freaking dbc extractor anywhere.. not one that works anyway. Everyone i find doesn't extract all the files.

to be honest i dont know what im really doing... im just piecing it together from error logs. i have been piecing parts together since 9am this morning and i dont have it running yet.
