    MaNGOS v2444: I/O

Well, months after I decided once more to test MaNGOS and what's new on it..
The setup was standard and I have no problems with it. (damn I so hate executing big sql queries.. that so SLOW).

anyways, I ran it, played some time around as a GM.

as far as my tests were 'singleplayer', I don't really know how it would act online with a lot of ppl, but everything went smooth..

But I had encountered one nasty thing - I don't know if it's really for my, but it looks like the emu architecture itself is a fault - the MaNGOS I/O to disk while loading/unloading maps when player moves from grid to grid is really annoying. especially when you use speedup'ed gm char when traveling across the world as quick as possible.

of course, the impression is really better than the last time I tried it on, but in overall the server's performance is killing everything..

it happen only on slower PC (or if that PC is doing other things in the same time (like playing WoW :°D)), anyway it should go away after the first run if you have set the flag that leave the grid in memory. :)
