How to setup the server

First, make sure that any other SQL Server, apache server and skype is SHUTTED DOWN.
Then follow this simple steps to get your server up and running:

1, Download Mangos.rar and extract it to C:\

2, Extract the map files (Copy ad.exe into your WoW-folder and create a folder named "maps", then run ad.exe) and copy the files into the Mangos folder. (Additional: Download the map files from the bottom of this post)

3, Run start.bat, a website will pop up, but just close it.

4, Start realmd.exe, then start mangosd.exe, you can start playing when it's done loading.

It's all tested...and it works. If it doesnt work for you, your doing something wrong.

No other SQL server needed, all is included in the package.

How to make your server online.

1, First, download SQLyog (From the bottom of this post), connect with the following info (make sure MySQL is running, use start.bat):

Connection Name: *Anything*
MySQL Host Address: localhost
User name: root
Password: mangos
port: 3306
Database(s): mangosd;realmd

2, Then, go into your realmd database, and find the table called "realmlist", right click it and choose "view data".

3, Change the address column to your IP address or your no-ip (www.no-ip.com).

4, Save and close.

5, change your realmlist to your IP or no-ip and connect!

PS: If your behind a router, make sure the following ports are opened:

8085
3724

How to open minimanager to others

1, Go to Dynamic Network Services, Inc. -- DynDNS -- Welcome and create a host. (Example: server.dyndns.org)

2, Go to your hosts file (C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts)

3, To the bottom of your hosts file add the following:

127.0.0.1 server.dyndns.org (or whatever you chose as your host name)

4, make sure apache is running (use start.bat) and try to connect to server.dyndns.org (or whatever you chose as your hostname)

PS: Make sure to change the IP addresses of config.php in W:\www\scripts

PSS: If your behind a router, open port 80.

It also got a spawned Hyjal and levelstats from level 1 to level 255, so it's great if your planning to have a level cap thats above 70. You can download it here.

ERROR:Error in `gameobject_template` table, probably sql file format was updated (there should be 32 fields in sql).

Your 362K SQL-DB doesnt work, import-error? Ive downloaded it a few times, always the same problem at line 351 (69K).

With other Databases i cant use the updates. Any idea? u.u;

Don't import anything, the SQL server is already added and pre-configured.
Just Download or extract the maps, put it in your Mangos folder, run start.bat and start the server and your done!

i'll tell you what to do STEP BY STEP

1, Download Mangos.rar

2, Open Mangos.rar with Winrar and extract it to C:\

3, Either download the maps files or create your own by using ad.exe

4, Put your map files in C:\Mangos

5, Run start.bat

6, Start Realmd.exe, then start mangosd.exe

7, When it's done loading, you can play!

Follow this steps exactly and it works, don't do anything that it dont says, In the Mangos.rar there already is a SQL server with all the needed files execute in to it, you dont have to execute ANYTHING into the SQL server.

I have managed up to the point of installing MYSQL 5.0, it installs ok then i select "standard configuration" then click install as Windows service, service name "MySQL5" launch the mysql server automatically, then next, modify security password as "mangos" then next and execute.


I then run SQLyog, localhost, user:root, pass:mangos, port 3306, add databases:mangosd;realmd

there are only 3 folders in each of the databases shown in SQLyog thatere are NO tables there to alter the realmlist.

Do i import the databases ?

if i run start.bat it executes very quicly and closes, as do realmd.exe and mangosd.exe.

My main Mangos folder is intact with all the maps in.

the reason start.bat closes very quickly is that you got another SQL server running on your comp.YOU DONT NEED ANY OTHER MYSQL SERVER!! EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE!!

Questions:
1)I was using older version before with only mangos and realmd database. This newer version have more database w/c are mangos, mangos_bc, mangosd, realmd, and realmd_bc. Can u kindly give me a short description as to what this databases for so i can know what to edit in future problems on my server?
2)What client version in needed? On my previous mangos i was running, I was using client 2.0.12, with this newer mangos version i cant enter the realm.

I cleaned "mangosd" and tried to restore with SQLyog, but i get an error at line 133 while restoring... *blinks*
