MySQL 5 Installation help

Hey, i have a lot of expierience setting up WoW servers, etc. But when i tried to install MySQL 5 (the latest version) i cannot configure the root name and the password. When i try to configure the security settings, it just skips past the sign up sheet and straight to the execute screen. The two bubbles labeled Start Service and Account Security are gray and do not get checked when i try to complete the installation. Please help. :)

well, make sure you take the advanced setup option, and I am not really sure, but by default the username and password are 'root'. when you connect to the database, you can change that
