    NCDB development

Does the developers of NCDB have a website? Trying to keep everything up to date around here.

Reason I ask is that I see revisions flying everywhere and I don't want to just download them because of a higher number.. I want to research these things myself.

    Thanks!

ncdb.mmoforge.org and the only way to be up to date with the revs is svn

    Re: NCDB development

    1. Download RapidSVN (search for yourself)
    2. Make a folder where you want the updates to be downloaded.
    3. Install and run RapidSVN.
    4. In RapidSVN go to 'Repository' and click 'Checkout', or just simply press Ctrl-O
    5. By url typ: http://projects.emupedia.com/svn/ncdb
    6. Destination directory has to be the folder where you want to download the updates.
    7. Use latest has to be checked on by revion
    8. By Peg Revision there has to be 'not specified' checked on.
    9. (Optional) check add to bookmarks.
    10. Now only press ok
    11. It'll ask for a username and password. username is anonymous and the password isn't nessesary.

Now you will get their latest revision, with the most recent tool.bat

    Good Luck lads!!!

    Re: NCDB development

    Thanks so much!

So do I have to compile this, then replace my current DB (character, world) or is there an "update" function?

I just updated my database and the Ascent revision and my logonserver.exe is stuck on pre-caching accounts.

    Re: NCDB development

run the update in the sql folder, in the character folder, named: 2725_character_account_tables.sql

    should do the trick ;)

For some reason when I run that update, it's not effecting the SQL database at all.

I would pefer Tortoise SVN over RapidSVN. It doesn't really matter though.
