need some help WHit mysql

hey Ragezone members

i want to cr8 a WoW server but i have 1 problem :/
( I have Vista home premium )
that is when i install Mysql setup

mysql-5.0.83-winx64

i install it and when i come to execute



i press and w8 ......

few sec later

i get this error:


X(red) start service


Could not start the service Mysql



and i dont know what to do *:

Dude this pack of mysql is for 64bits Op. System. Download a 32bits version.

Dude i know i have 64 bits -.- and i have try whit 32 also

I get the same thing when I tried to make a sub-server.

Uninstall it and reinstall.

If reinstall won't help, try to run MySQL while in services.msc (to get there simply press Run in Accessories and type services.msc).

Uninstalling didn't help, but Icap''s idea did.

Try install xampp pack 1.7.1

I haven't used XAMPP, but I've used several methods for a localhost. I've installed the manual Apache 2.2, PHP 5.x, and MySQL 5.1. I find WAMP to be the easiest method to be honest.
