    No monsters/npcs in new sdb's

    Hi.
    Well so far every single sdb i've tried thats been released today has not a single npc/monster spawned, but yet all the creatures id's are in the databse.

    When the emu loads up, you can clearly see that all creatures are getting loaded, but not shown ingame?

    This is very weird, and I remember other people saying something like this before.

    If I remember correctly, there is a command to spawn all npcs/monsters but i've spent ages searching the forums, and with no reslut.

    I've also tried searching all ingame commands, and nothing there that would do that.

    So some help is needed, im using: mangos_sdb69_sd15
    Have tried: Silver SDB 68 Full By Haken "same issue"

    I was just thinking, maybe there is a rev been released that will update this?
    Im just unsure which rev to download for the mangos_sdb69_sd15 sdb.

    If anyone knows what rev to use in conjunction with this sdb, let me know please.

    I know enough about this stuff to know it was not just me lol.
    I just don't under stand why they would do that, or why they did not test for this sort of thing..

    I just know it's going to be something simple im missing todo, I just know it lol

    I can't get to filebeam, so I can't download today's stuff, but I downloaded an SDB yesterday that failed when I tried to load it. I edited the sql file with a text editor and there were three non-ascii characters at the very beginning of the file. I deleted them, saved it, and it loaded fine.

    Ok, I finally got through. The extracted file is:
    Silver SDB 68 Full By Haken.sql and is 37 Mb.
    The one that I downloaded yesterday (with the fully populated world) is:
    mangos_sdb66_sd13.sql and is 195 Mb.

    That's a pretty big difference.

    It's not always by size, as size only depends on the method used to make the sql. Some are 30mb some are 100+

    And both can have a fully populated world.

    My 32mb sdb that I currently run on my real server is full populated and works;)

    I'll just wait and see if the release a new rev or a fix for the current sdb.

    I think I might see what you're talking about.

    In my large SDB, I see:
    Code:
    insert into `areatrigger_tavern` (`id`,`name`) values (71,'Westfall - Sentinel Hill Inn');
    insert into `areatrigger_tavern` (`id`,`name`) values (562,'Elwynn Forest - Goldshire - Lion\'s Pride Inn');
    i
    But in the 37 Mb file, they're doing it like this:
    Code:
    INSERT INTO `areatrigger_tavern` VALUES (71,'Westfall - Sentinel Hill Inn'),(562,'Elwynn Forest - Goldshire - Lion\'s Pride Inn'),
    Much more efficient.

    ;)

    Btw, I figured out the problem..
    The problem is that we are trying to use the wrong core files for the sdb we are using.

    I don't know how to tell what core files are compatabile with what sdb, but if you check out the mangos release section, Haken has told use what core packs works with his sdb:)

    Im running it now to see what it's like.
