I have finally finished succesfully setting up my server, and have gotten to play on it a little. However, I noticed as soon as I logged in that there were no NPC guys or any monsters to fight with. I have set up using Mangos, and done pretty much everything featured in all of the guides. Is there something that I forgot?
Sorry to double post, but I had a thought.
Have I forgotten to add a .sql file?

I really hate to triple post, but I seriously need to know what's wrong with my Mangos so that I can have people play on my server!
yea i have the same problem before and change to the original SDB new and volila all mosters and nps in the correct places :prop:

Well, there's a problem. I downloaded and (I believe) installed DB 1.6.2 , was I supposed to use 1.6.1 or did I incorrectly install 1.6.2?
Okay, I tried setting up my server again, and I made sure to follow the Silver's DB guide while installing, but when I started the server successfully, and logged in.... NO monsters or NPCs! What am I doing wrong, and how can I fix it?

This site has great builds of MaNGOS and SDB official releases.
That isn't the problem, the problem is that I don't know which structure to follow:
orCode:Create root@localhost -> add mangos + realmd DB -> apply mangos.sql and realmd.sql -> apply SDB
orCode:Create root@localhost -> add mangos + realmd DB -> apply SDB -> apply mangos.sql and realmd.sql
some other path that I'm unsure of.
Ok, maybe this will help then... the SQL's distributed with the servers are blank. Thats why you need the SDB. So no, don't apply the mangos.sql that comes packed with the server at all. only the realm.sql is necessary. and then apply the SDB.
Ohhhh.... OK.
I'll try that out, and when I find some way to screw that up I'll come back here.
