npc buffs

hey, i have a simple question, how do u get a npc to cast a buff on you (say arcane intellect), by interacting with them.

i am using 1.12.1 (mangos)

Of course you can?
Have a look in the SQL. The first tauren in WC casts a buff when you talk to him.
Try and see?

he dont buff me, either do any of the other NPC's in the game that should do

btw where do u find the scripts that are used, there not in the scripts bit on mysql
