You should seriously reconsider using WOWemu, it is a resource hog and you will need ALOT of bandwidth to support 200+ players. Besides I think that wowemu is not compatible with dual core processors (they might have fixed that problem). WOWemu is dead, WAD stopped development and the source code is not open, so there will be limited amount of fixes for the emulator. On the other hand MaNGOS is good although it is a bit buggy, and you will need to know a little about SQL, but alot of things work. I'm not too sure about Kobold, I have not used this program mainly because I know even less about python then I do SQL. But to answer your question you will need alot of processor power (probably around 3.5Ghz, and alot of ram (at least 2GB) you will need a very fast connection (at least 100mbps) to support the amount of people you want supported. This is all my opinion and not actual fact so ppl do not flame me..

    Thanks for the quick reply.
Right now, I have 1.5mbps DSL connection.
The only problem is... will it run to core 2 duo? and I think you answered it right. I run some research while I am waiting for some1 to reply with my msg. But how some servers can accomudate such as 100+ players in wowstats?

and maybe I will try MaNGOS. just incase I start a server.

Well again im not quite sure about the core 2 duo, and the reason ppl have 100+ are actual servers and good connections (like 100mbps) and/or because they dont use wowemu, I have played on a very good mangos server with 67 ppl online and only getting 37 ping, if they werer using a wowemu server then you would get about 400 ping at best. It's your choice, MaNGOS may seem a bit much to handle at first but once you get used to it then its alot easier to customize (especially with MaNGOS DB Handler).

    Com specs

Well i have had 50+ people on my Koblod server and the ping was about 43ms...

My connection speed is comcast high speed cable and my comps specs are as follows...

    HP MediaCenter PC
-AMD 4800+ X2 (about 2.3 ghz per core)
    -2 gigs of ram (4 X 512 all SDDR)
-500 gb hard drive (2 X 250)(have the server and OS on one hard drive and let Windows use the other for vitual memory)
    -512mb ATI graphics card

So i have all that and only comcast HS cable and the ping is nice when having 58 ppl online!

My server is on wowstatus.net i think... it used to be on their anyways it might not be anymore ill check though!

    Mother Board - Asus P5PE-VM i865G agpV/S/L/C2D
Video Card - Maybe the cheapest Video card
