[Personal] Stuck at select realmlist screen

Hi guys

Like most posts here I do need some help.

I got WOW from a friend and he gave me the mangos server emu he downloaded as well. When I run the server on my computer I can log in and play but no one can join me. I create users for them and they set their realmlist.wtf to my IP.

They do get authenticated when logging in but when they select the realmlist (burning crusade is the only one present) it shows logging in to game server and then just jumps back to the select realmlist page. Sometimes it says connected but stays at that with a cancel button that takes you back to the select realmlist page again.

I just want to lan this awesome game. As good as it is it's no fun alone and I don't have the connection to play online. It's wireless and I get a ping of over 7000!!!

Hope there is someone that can help. I'll really appreciate it.

update your network-hardware driver. offten helps with connectivity problems. ensure there is no firewall/router blocking certain ports, preventing people from connecting.

* 8085 Mangos
* 3724 Realmd
* 3443 another Mangos

Thanks a whole lot for the guide. I'll start downloading everything from there tonight.

I don't have a router and my firewall is off. I just link the pcs with a switch. Not sure how to forward the ports mentioned above on my setup though...
