reinstall your server, i have that problem, but i reinstall server change some configs and it work...
realmlist loop is a common problem and is normally because you have not set a dns to your ip, or realmlist file in the client, or just simply you have not set up the server config files correctly.
There are loads of posts about this.
search for "realm list"
No matter what i do, players cannot get past realm list. They will select realm list and it will bring them right back to it. They arent able to get to character selection screen. I tried basically everything and have read http://www.wddg-online.com/forums/in...-configuration , but still no luck. When i set all ips to 127.0.0.1 then i am able to see realm list and connect fine but others get stuck in realm list loop. If i set all ips to my external WAN ip then all players including myself get to realm list but the realm list has a blank realm name with type "normal" and again cannot get past that. Any ideas would be appreciated.

tThis is based on you using the latest 4500 1.6 files DTW_Release_0.1
you need to assign a dns to your external ip
http://www.dyndns.com/services/
add entry into your hosts file wnnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
<your server internal ip> <dns name>
eg
192.168.0.3 <mydnsname.com>
192.168.0.3 wad.eclub.lv
edit scripts\wel_serv.conf
mydnsname.com
myservername
8085
Welcome To myservername WoW Server..
make sure all clients have edited realmlist.wtf
set realmlist mydnsname
If you are playing on a lan
every pc that wants to use the client must also have edited hosts file with the server ip
eg
192.168.0.3 <mydnsname.com>
if you are not using an external ip and only on lan then you wont need to do this, but using lan and external ip you must edit hosts file on all pcs.
I already setup my dns at http://www.no-ip.com/ for my external ip and set the dns name in emu.conf for ws_host http_host rs_host , then i set it in wel_serv.conf . When i launched server, everyone was able to connect but my realm name wasnt listed, instead after selecting type of realm and UNITED STATES, it would say "You have been assigned to TheRealm", which had a blank name and type normal. Any suggestions?
BTW, whats the difference of using 127.0.0.1 instead of my router ip in the hosts file?

bump.....
doese any one know y my ip changes like every day :S and how to stop it from doing that. and y when i make a dns it doesent go to my router settings page:S plz some one help cos i carnt have my friends play cos of this
if your ip changes every day thats because of your internet provider. you need to get it to a fixed IP.
Another problem you have to seriously take note of is the length of your domain name.
If the domain name is larger than 12 letters it will NOT work. It a bad error that used to come up in the mir3 servers as well.
howie, i did what you mentioned but now when either myself or others(outside my network) connect to server there now get assigned to "The Realm" which has no realm name and if you click on it it hangs on logging into game server then brings you back to Realm List. Any ideas?
have you counted all the letters and dots in your dns name ?
eg:
wowemu.ath.cx = 13 letters and will not work
another test is go to start menu\type cmd then enter
in the dos box type ping yourdnsname
if your dns is working it will return packets with no loss
also double check your dns via
www.dnsstuff.com

Hi, I am having the same problem as above...
I have changes all the files that were mentionned, I have a no-ip that is less than 12 letters long.
The only thing that is missing is that the file " wel_serv.conf" is missing, nowhere to be found.
I think that that may be the cause of my problem, so if anyone could tell me what to do or where to find that file it would be very appreciated.
Thanks!
Same problem here.
I use the Mangos 2738 version.
I have a Fix Ip but have created
