problem with server

Ive got the bdc files extracted and working on the vmaps (i think) right now. I am able to run both the world and logon .exe files and connect and create a character but it disconnects me from the server after I create a character. Will the vmaps correct this when they get extraced?

Also I cannot figure out how to extract the maps from the client. In the arcemu im using (and all of the server cores ive tried) in the extractors folder theres a dbc, vmaps, and maps extractor. The maps extractor is called ad and when I try to run this it just closes Ive ran it both in the folder it was in and in the wow/data/enus folder.

This leads me to believe that the only 2 extraction tools that need to be ran are the dbc and the vmaps extractor. If this is true in the configs do I just point the maps location to the vmap folder?
