The mangosd.conf file is pointing the wowserver files to the wrong place.
    Edit the mangosd.conf to this:

    # Data directory setting.
    # Important: DataDir needs to be quoted, as it is a string which may
    # contain space characters.
    DataDir = ""

"" telling it to look in the root dir for the server files.

    Download the dbc files there.

your wowserver folder should look like this:

    maps
    dbc
    MangoScript
    all exe/dll/conf files

You need to have them all in the same folder.

Ok, thank you, now it starts properly. I can login with wow but ... world is empty :(

My server dir looks like this:

    [dbc]
    [maps]
    [ScriptDev2 SQL]
    [sql]
    mangosd.exe
    realmd.exe
    DBErrors.log
    Realmd.log
    Server.log
    world.log
    mangosd.conf
    realmd.conf
    libeay32.dll
    libmySQL.dll
    MaNGOSSScript.dll
    msvcr71.dll
    msvcr71d.dll

I guess i am missing MangoScript folder or something else. What should I look for exactly? Or this is maybe the bug mentioned in some other discussions which doesnt spawn the world?

Having an empty world means that the sql file you used to build your mangos databse was only a template one, you could try this one: http://filebeam.com/00258bcce780fc6e9410380996a821a3
if link is down, check the thread: http://forum.ragezone.com/world-warc...es-166402.html

That is a full databse with creature/npc spawns.

As for the double post, it happens sometimes. An mod will delete it if he/she can be bothered.

    -.-

    Back to topic.

Anyway I figured it out myself but it seems that database from link is not compatible with my mangos version. This is what i receive from server.

    2007-01-14 08:37:41 Using DataDir ./ ...
    2007-01-14 08:37:41 Initialize data stores...
    2007-01-14 08:37:41
    2007-01-14 08:37:41 >> Loaded 28 data stores
    2007-01-14 08:37:41
2007-01-14 08:37:41 Loading Game Object Templates...
2007-01-14 08:37:41 ERROR:Error in `gameobject_template` table, probably sql file format was updated (there should be 19 fields in sql).

I noticed that this table is one column short (castSpell) in comparison to what i had in empty server database i will try to find newest on my own but I would be pleased if you could post a direct link to one.

Sorry, I supposed u know how to use navicat.
Now u have a problem with your core; i mean the core u use is not compatible with your DB.
As I see your SDB is 2383 so u should look for core 2383 or something loke that.
    Hope u understand.

Well i am kinda newbie and i am not familiar with meaning of words like "import sql files" and i require more like a step by step explanation, what to click and how something should be named. Anyway your new post seems pretty usefull so thanks for them.

Btw how to find out which files would be best for 1.12.1 WoW client?

Sorry Tossi83, I went out and got drunk, and forgot to reply lol.

    Goto: http://forum.ragezone.com/world-warc...es-166402.html
thread, and goto last page for latest release.

Download: Mangos Revision 3006+Mangoscript 93 <-- contains the mangosd.exe/realmd.exe/conf files and latest sql updates
Download, and put into a folder. "make a new one"

Now cut and paste from ur old server folder: maps/dbc folders and place into new folder.

Now run up naicat or sqlyog "i use sqlyog"
Drop the mangos databse, and make a new mangos db entry.
Now input ur sdb "main database pack" into the new mangos db you made.

Then once thats done, look in the new folder under "sql folder" it will have another folder in there called "updates" run the 3005.sql "might be newer now" and import it into the mangos db as well.

It might be small sql file like say 12kb odds, and it will take a while too.

Once all of that is done, just configure ur new conf files to match ur server. That should be you done.

Now at this point I use mdh to run my server, but you can just run realmd then ur mangosd.exe to load up server.

Phew I finally found time to take care of server again and here comes another problem. After i downloaded the newest database I could find I tried to import it. And it was importing ... importing ... importing ... for a whole day and still was importing. -.- Is it normal or i downloaded some bugged version? How long it usually takes to import database? I got Sempron 2800+ and 1GB of RAM.
