Problems extracting maps....
Hello all and great forum:good:
My problem is that I'm trying to extract the maps, but can't seem to do it with the ad tool and mapextractor tool. The version of my client is 2.0. I do however see big file named common.mpq. Is that supposed to be where the maps are?

Does anyone know by any chance? Just asking since I'm able to view the files and extract them. I just don't know what the file extensions are for the map files.

atm, there is no tool to extract the maps from WoW 2.0.x, plus, all 2.0.x emulators use WoW 1.12.x maps anyways. So, either extract them from WoW 1.12.x, or try to google them.
NOTE: When ad.exe extracts the maps, it also changes how the info inside the maps is stored (I think, at least that's what the kobold map extractor does...), so you can't just pull out the maps from the client, rename the extension to *.map, and expect them to work.

If you want methode of rename :
Original File (exemple) :
Kalimdor_42_17.adt
This become :
0014217.map
001 => MAP ID
42;17 => Grid Position
.map => Extention :D
We must have #530 MAPID from 2.0.1 db to have new continent :D
Sorry for my bad english, i'm french
