Q's on DJRavines [MaNGOS] v2.0.10 TBC

OK NooB here to this forum and new to a gaming server build

I am actually taking a network defense and counter measures class in school and the instructor is making us build a WoW/MaNGOS server as a lab project for the final grade in class.
I have followed these instructions and so far it is working except for a few issues that im trying to straighten out

my questions

#1. If I already own a TBC CD (bought in store from Blizzard) and have loaded the game on the server do I still need WoW TBC Retail Downloader?

#2. What is WoW TBC v2.0.10.6448 for (is this the DB file or something different) and how do I install it if it is NOT the DB File?

#3. PATCHES... If I downloaded the most recent Patches from blizzard using the games downloader do I still need to apply them to my database? and will I still be able to connect to my server if I have more recent patches on the game (from Blizzard) than I do on my server?

#4. PHP what do I need to load to get the most recent PHP working for TBC and how do I implement it to my website/server any/all information on PHP would be greatly appreciated

#2 WoW TBC v2.0.10.6448 - this is the client version for ppl to connect and probs database.

#3 Patches are for users also, And i dotn think u can play TBC servers with latest patches, since there are no servers with the right db.

#1 - Well I installed the 2.0.10 and actually re-installed wow tbc to get it 2.0.10 but I later found out you can use the version Blizzard are using at the moment so if you have that you can use it (just change the realmlist.wtf) - The current Blizzard is at 2.0.12
