[Question] Computer controlled group members?

I took a break from WoW emulation awhile back and ran an everquest server for a few months. An enterprising fellow on the eqemu forums decided to try a little project some time back, he wanted to play everquest on his own server with computer controlled players as group members(I'm not talking about a bot to control your own character). Well today his project is a reality, I had it running on my server and it works great, still some bugs but its coming along very nicely. It even works online serverside, there is no modification of client files, so players can use it if there aren't many people online. You can group normally or even raid with these things. Each class has a class specific script controlling it to tell it how to behave. What I would like to know is if anyone has tried something like this for a WoW server, or how difficult it would be to implement if not?

yeah, each class has a specific AI script. Now I don't know of these are just NPCs or if they are actual player characters, but if I had to guess id say they were NPCs. I guess if i were to read through the 20 or so pages on the thread about them I could find out but I'm a bit too lazy...
